1. Parent-Only Accounts
EasyIHIP (easyihip.com) is designed exclusively for adult parents and legal guardians managing New York State home instruction under 8 NYCRR §100.10. Children do not create accounts or interact directly with the service.
2. Strict Data Minimization
To protect student privacy, EasyIHIP requires only a Student First Name (or nickname), age, and grade level (1–12) to calculate NYS instructional hour requirements (900 or 990 hours) and 180-day compliance. Please do not enter Social Security numbers, dates of birth, street addresses, or sensitive medical records.
3. Tenant Isolation & Storage
All student profiles, IHIP curriculum plans, activity logs, and optional work-sample photos are strictly scoped to your authenticated parent account using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) on Supabase.
4. AI Activity Generator
When you use the optional EasyIHIP AI Activity Generator, only the selected grade level, NYS subject name, and general topic interests (e.g., “Minecraft, woodworking”) are sent to OpenAI to generate lesson ideas. Your child's name and account details are never shared with third-party AI providers.
5. Data Deletion & Contact
You own your family's educational records and may request complete account and data deletion at any time by contacting support@easyihip.com.
